Day 1Arrival at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro

For Tanzania Luxury Safari On your arrival to Arusha at Arusha Cofee Lodge, where the rest of the day is at leisure, we can arrange for a private transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). You will stay at the beautifully situated Arusha Cofee Lodge on the coffee farms, which is a great place to plan for your adventure. Our safari manager will come to meet you, followed by dinner, and have a safari briefing.

Day 2Arusha National Park

You will be met by our tour guide/driver, who will deliver a short briefing on safari detail, then depart for Arusha National Park. A visit to the Ngurdo Crater is included in your day trip. As well as several different bird species, you can see buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons during the year. An armed ranger will be waiting for you at Momella Gate to accompany you on your walking safari, giving you the chance to experience the wildlife up close. Just a few other Tanzanian national parks offer you such an opportunity, and it’s something that you shouldn’t miss out on.

Lunch will be served at the picnic area, and in the afternoon you will continue your tour of Arusha National Park in a safari vehicle. For dinner and overnight stay, we will drive back to Arusha Cofee Lodge after plenty of time allocated for you to observe the wildlife.

Day 3Arusha / Tarangire

Depart at 9 am from Arusha. We will be heading to Tarangire National Park for approximately two hours. This is Tanzania’s third largest park and it is distinguished by the amazingly large elephant herds that can be found in this park. One of the other highlights of Tarangire is the Baobab trees and the Tarangire River that flows throughout the year is the park’s life blood. Many species, predators and prey alike, gather around the river where you can watch great games.

Dinner and overnight stay will continue with your drive to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge later.

Day 4Lake Manyara National Park

We leave for Lake Manyara after breakfast for the Half Day Game Trip. The park is known for its incredible beauty, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Many game animals can be seen, such as buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, impalas, hippos, and others. The vast majority of the area of the national park is dominated by the lake itself, so this corner of Tanzania is naturally known for its water birds. You will spot larger and smaller flamingos, large white pelicans, large white egret, cormorants and plovers in large numbers on the lakeside, all alongside lazing hippos and trotting warthogs.

For dinner and overnight stay, drive back to Lake Manyara Serena Lodge later.

Day 5Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you can drive directly to the Shalom Orphanage Visit Center.

Subsequent departure from Shalom to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Enjoy a walk with your own armed ranger in one of the many outstanding regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area that will give you guidance on the ecology of the area. This is a walking trail around the surface of the biggest unbroken caldera in the world. It provides beautiful views down into the crater, passes through woodland, scrubland, and then opens into wavy grassland. Masai are seen occasionally, herding their cattle. Commonly seen wildlife is zebra, gazelle.

It will descend into the Crater later at noon for an evening game drive.

Day 6Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, which is the world’s 8th natural wonder and the most abundant wildlife special, world renowned caldera. We’re going to descend through the floor of the Ngorongoro crater. You will enjoy incredible panoramic views from the comfort of your open-top car, descending down the crater, and if you are lucky, you will see the Big Five. More than 120 species of mammals are found in the Caldera.

We’ll see ponds full of hippos, the last black rhinos of the endangered East Africa, and birds like secretary birds, white storks coming from Europe during the wet season, kori bustards, crowned cranes and ostriches. It’s definitely a landscape of pure elegance. The dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which often takes a professional eye to find, is another major draw for this picturesque park. You’ll have a picnic lunch in the park after the thrills and excitement of the day. After that, we will drive back to the lodge for the Crater Rim overnight stay.

Menu plan: Breakfast, Dinner & Lunch

We’ll travel along the Sogore River circuit south of the Seronera River to search for Thompson’s gazelles, tops, ostriches, and likely predators as well, such as lions or cheetahs. We suggest visiting the Visitors Center. It is a great place to see some wildlife or buy leaflets or maps of the region for information. In the middle, you can also buy a snack or drinks and take a walk around a kopje in the vicinity or a cool picnic area where we can eat our picnic lunches and the giant acacia trees will shield you from the hot sunrays.
